Log Rule Publication 

The USFS long ago put out an excellent publication on many of the old log rules. The original is very hard to come by, but you can find a PDF file that you can download and copy (about 2.5 megabytes in size – so a long download – and a 68 page report) at the following web address:

If you search the web for “A collection of log rules” and you will find the USFS site, then you can view it as an HTML file, which may also take a while to load.

This was done by Frank Freese, who we have mentioned in the Newsletter before, and it is a remarkable and detailed piece of work.
